Just-a-Driver Tours offer the most cost-effective way to see the Black Forest and are therefore our most popular tours. Our Just-a-Driver Tours are designed for those who prefer to explore the Black Forest with the convenience of a driver and a personalized itinerary. We provide a car and driver and an itinerary. Lean back and relax!

How does it work?

You may know exactly what you want to see – great! But you do not need to figure out anything in advance (where to go and what to see and how to get there) – we can take care of it for you.

The driver will stop, drop you off, pick you up again, at specific way points along your tour according to your personalized itinerary.

Good to know: The driver is NOT a tour guide. He can communicate in basic english, but will not be able to answer tour-related questions (if you prefer to have a guide come along, then have a look at our Guided Tours).

Prior to your tour you receive a detailed information package from us that details everything about your tour – what is at each stop, and all points of interest along the way. So you will be well-prepared in advance and you won’t miss anything

Our prices are all inclusive. Our drivers are paid by the hour. If you enjoyed your tour, our driver certainly appreciate a tip – but it is NOT expected.
Additional hours by request ( if additional hours are possible, the first 30 minutes are free, then we charge in 30-minute increments. these additional charges are to be paid in cash to the driver or guide at the end of the tour )

Be aware of scams. Driver guides and transport services of any kind are required by law in Germany to have a commercial passenger transportation license and insurance coverage for cars and passengers. You are in good hands with us. We are licensed and fully insured. ( Genehmigung nach §49 PBefG mit Mietwagen für die gewerbliche Personenbeförderung ).

Excellent Tour

I guess I was lucky to have Simone to drive us on our Book-a-driver tour. Booked during the Nov wet season on 29th Nov. Although we didn't pay more to have a 'guide', she was more like a guide than just a driver.
When she arrives, she warned us about the bad wet weather and asked whether we want to postpone the trip. But we decided to go along and luckily for us, the weather cleared up a bit.
Prior to the trip, I made a request to have stops along the way to Triberg to take pictures in the beautiful Black Forrest and she didn't disappoint us and even detour to a remote castle for us to view the scenary.
Needless to say, we came back late by 30 mins but she didn't complain nor ask for extra charges and even volunteer to drive us to the town Christmas Market.
Overall, nice experience with Simone.

The best way to travel with limited time.

Simone made this experience as smooth as possible! The communication prior to the tour, the materials delivered to our hotel, the pick up arrangements and throughout the entire tour were supportive, helpful and informative. Her customer service skills were so refreshing! Simone built our 5-6 hour tour based on our wishes and it didn’t disappoint! We loved the town of Wolfach and the charming stops made between towns. It was so nice to feel cared for throughout this trip!
