Bicycling the Black Forest
This tour package provides you with a lot of flexibility. You are staying in a small Black Forest mountain town above Freiburg with easy access to many sights in the Southern Black Forest.
The package includes a half day tour with a private bike guide. This is the best way to experience the area – we will make sure you get a sense of the layout of the Black Forest. From there you choose between a variety of bicycle routes. If you are a beginner bicyclist you might want to stay in the flat valley and pedal around one of the lakes. If you are more experience you want to head up the mountains for a more challenging bike ride. It is all up to you – we provide you with everything you need.
There are several add-ons for this package. We can add-on more days. We can add-on a guided tour by car to see a different area of the Black Forest (for example the clock area). And we can set you up with a guide to take you on a guided walking tour of Freiburg – the nearby capital of the Black Forest. Everything is possible with this tours. Tell us what you have in mind and we tell you whether it can be organized.
Private Guide, Navigation, Route Notes, Maps & Support
You will receive detailed route notes and maps from us upon check-in at your first hotel. GPS data is also available if you are bicycling with a GPS device.
On your first day we set you up with one of our bicycle guides who will take you on a half day guided tour. Great way to get familiar with the area! You can ask the guide all the questions to want to be able to navigate the Black Forest on your own the followin day.s
e-bikes
Our e-bikes are typical touring bikes which allow you to tour on streets as well as on forest roads. We equip you with a lock and a helmet as well. Our e-bikes come in various sizes. When handing over the bikes we make sure everything is adjusted correctly to your height. The battery should last all day.
