Real town feel
We are placing you in one of the prettiest medieval towns in the Black Forest. Enjoy cobblestone streets, small shops, excellent restaurants and friendly locals. This town is not overrun with tourists yet – a real treat! From here it is easy to explore other parts of the Black Forest as well. Many visitors add-on another night or 2 to do some sightseeing as well. Talk to us what you have in mind -we can usually make it happen.
There is wine growing in the Black Forest?
Most visitors are surprised when coming to the Black Forest. They had no idea, this is a big wine area. In Germany there are 13 wine regions with more than 23,000 vineyards. The wine area of The Black Forest is the 3rd largest and southern-most wine region in Germany (called Baden). The climate in this area is warm, as the vineyards are sheltered by the surrounding mountains. Due to this warm climate, Baden produces the only wine-zone B class wines in Germany. Wine-zone B is the same category as the famous French wine areas of Alsace, Champagne, and the Loire Valley.
