COVID-19 Touring Update

Update Feb 9, 2021. At the moment Germany is in a lockdown and traveling to the Black Forest as a tourist is not possible. The end of the lockdown is currently scheduled for February 14. All hotels, restaurants, attractions, shops and touring companies are closed until then. At Black Forest Tours we are optimistic that the situation will improve over the next few months and touring will be possible during summer. Can I currently book a Guided Tour? Maybe. We want to make sure we can run our Guided tours without any risk having to cancel them later due to new Covid-19 restrictions. Many tour companies are already taking bookings for Guided Tours in 2021. But we have decided to wait. We are certainly intending to run our Guided tours in the later part of 2021 – but only if we are able to do so safely and reliably for our guides and for you. Winter Tours

November through March are considered winter months in the Black Forest. During these months, skiers take over the mountains and many typical tourist attractions are closed. We are still out touring because there are many things to explore even in winter. Just make sure to dress warm and be ready for some rain or snow if you want to see the Black Forest in its full winter glory.
